The calculation method for the amount and concentration of salt used in softened water equipment is generally as follows: resin amount (L) * 160=salt amount (g), and the concentration of NaCl regeneration solution in softened water is 5-12%; If the resin content is 10L, it is generally 1600g or 1.6kg per regeneration, which depends on the requirements of inlet hardness and outlet water quality. The simple calculation method for resin regeneration salt consumption is as follows:
1) NaCl regeneration solution concentration of 5-12%; The concentration of salt solution is determined by the proportion of saturated salt solution sucked in by the water flow rate injected into the jet injector. Generally, the concentration of salt solution is between 5-12%, and the higher the inlet pressure, the higher the concentration after mixing. Under normal circumstances, the set parameters are as follows: reverse suction for 10 minutes, regeneration for 30-50 minutes, and water injection for 10-20 minutes (for salt tanks with float control). You can make small adjustments based on the above parameters.
2) The amount of regeneration solution used is 2-3 times the volume of resin filling;
Each liter of resin requires salt:
Minimum salt consumption: 2 times x concentration 5%=100g
Maximum salt consumption: 3 times x concentration 8%=240g
Take the median value: 2 times x concentration 8%=160g
Counter current regeneration of 1L resin consumes about 80-160g of salt, while co current regeneration of 1L resin consumes about 160-240g of salt. The current automatic control valve has fewer downstream regeneration faults and consumes more salt. Add salt to the salt tank, and be sure to use large salt particles because there are gaps between the large salt particles for salt dissolution. Fine salt will dissolve slowly if it does not dissolve, and always ensure that the salt particles are above the salt water level, so that the salt is visible but not the water, to ensure that it is a saturated salt solution. Oppose the statement that 'as long as there is undissolved salt in the salt bucket'.
Please note that in addition to the concentration and dosage of the regeneration solution, there is also an indicator that the contact time of the regeneration solution should not be less than 30 minutes to ensure the regeneration effect. Many small soft water devices use saturated saline water with a volume of 1 resin to quickly pass through, which is incorrect.
