Precautions for Winter Water Treatment Equipment Operation

February 14, 2025

Precautions for the operation of water treatment equipment in winter: Due to the decrease in temperature, special attention should be paid to the following matters during the operation and maintenance of water treatment equipment in winter:

1. Equipment insulation and antifreeze measures for indoor equipment: Ensure that the indoor temperature is not lower than 0 ° C to avoid equipment damage caused by volume expansion due to water solidification. Outdoor equipment: For outdoor equipment, anti freezing measures should be taken, such as using electric heat tracing belts and electric heating boxes to maintain equipment temperature and avoid equipment freezing and cracking.

2. Equipment maintenance and regular inspection: Before the arrival of winter, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the equipment, including pipelines, filter bottles, membrane housings, etc., to ensure that there are no leaks or damages. Pre treatment system: Strengthen the backwashing frequency and intensity of the pre-treatment system, replace the filter element in a timely manner, and ensure that the incoming water quality is qualified.

3. Low temperature protection for equipment start-up and operation: When the water temperature drops below 15 ° C, the raw water heating device should be added to ensure that the inlet water temperature of the reverse osmosis system is between 18-30 ° C. Slow start: If the device needs to be started, it should be slowly heated to the set temperature to avoid equipment damage caused by rapid temperature changes.

4. Emergency response equipment freezing: If the equipment freezes, it should be placed in an indoor environment with a temperature above 10 ° C and naturally thawed for 48 hours before restarting. During this period, it should not be forced to turn on the machine to produce water. Water pipe rupture: In the event of a water pipe rupture or water outage, the inlet ball valve should be closed and wait for water to come in before opening it again to avoid using the equipment.

5. Long term shutdown and standby long-term shutdown: If the equipment needs to be shut down for a long time in winter, the inlet ball valve should be closed to discharge the water in the pressure tank, and the appearance of the machine should be checked for normal operation before reuse. Backup preparation: Ensure that backup equipment is in good condition and can be quickly activated once needed. By following the above precautions, it is possible to effectively protect the normal operation of water treatment equipment in winter and reduce potential risks caused by cold weather.
