The function, principle, and precautions of scale inhibitors for circulating water treatment

1. Surface adsorption: Various types of adsorption of polar group particles on water treatment agent molecules.

2. Adsorption bridging: The molecular chains of water treatment agents are fixed on the surfaces of different particles, forming polymer bridges between each particle, causing the particles to form aggregates and settle.

3. Principle of flocculation: When water treatment agents are used for flocculation, they are related to the surface properties of the flocculated material, especially the dynamic potential, viscosity, turbidity, and pH value of the suspension. The dynamic potential of the particle surface is the reason for particle blockage. Adding water treatment agents with opposite surface charges can reduce the dynamic potential and cause coagulation.

4. Enhancement effect: The molecular chains of water treatment agents are linked to the dispersed phase through various mechanical, physical, chemical, and other interactions, forming a network and thus enhancing the effect.

Precautions for adding scale inhibitors

1、 Be careful not to exceed the maximum liquid level when adding water to the measuring tank.

2、 The initial dosage of water treatment agents should first clean the dosing tank. During cleaning, close the bottom drain valve of the dosing tank, fill it with water for cleaning, and then open the drain valve to drain the water. After cleaning twice, start adding the dosage. Be sure to turn on the mixing motor of the dosing box, stir the water treatment agent evenly, and then stop the motor. At the same time, open the inlet and outlet valves of the metering pump, turn on the metering pump switch, and add the medication before the security filter. After RO shutdown, turn off the metering pump.

3、 Adjust the measuring stroke and turn the measuring stroke adjustment knob counterclockwise to the corresponding scale. And it should be noted that the water treatment agent needs to check and close the bottom drain valve of the dosing tank. According to the effective volume in the dosing tank and the actual working output of the metering pump, the agent should be added from the dosing port of the dosing tank. The inlet valve should be opened to dilute to the highest liquid level mark, and the water replenishment valve should be closed.

4、 Record the total inflow and dosage of the water treatment agent inspection cycle every month to ensure they match, and regularly inspect the dosage system for leaks. Any leaks should be promptly resolved.
