According to the North Star Waste to Energy Network, on January 20th, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development of the People's Republic of China issued the "Technical Standards for Municipal Solid Waste Incineration and Energy Utilization Engineering", which aims to achieve harmless, reduced, and resourceful waste treatment, regulate the planning, design, and construction of municipal solid waste incineration plants (hereinafter referred to as incineration plants), and formulate this standard. This standard is applicable to the design, construction, and acceptance of new, expanded, and renovated municipal solid waste incineration and energy utilization projects. This standard is numbered GB/T51452-2024 and will be implemented from May 1, 2025. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development has announced the release of the national standard "Technical Standards for Municipal Solid Waste Incineration and Energy Utilization Engineering". The "Technical Standards for Municipal Solid Waste Incineration and Energy Utilization Engineering" are now approved as a national standard, with the number GB/T51452-2024, and will be implemented from May 1, 2025. The original industry standard "Technical Specification for Municipal Solid Waste Incineration Treatment Engineering" (CJJ90-2009) is simultaneously abolished. This standard is publicly available on the portal website of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development (www.mohurd. gov.cn) and is published and distributed by China Construction Press&Media Co., Ltd. organized by the Standard Quota Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development.
